WASH Thematic Discussion Series
In 2020, CF&N, WASHPaLS and PRO-WASH co-convened a popular and well-attended webinar series looking at how infant and young child growth and development is negatively impacted by persistent fecal exposure, showing why traditional WASH interventions may not be enough to address the issue and highlighting emerging research on possible programmatic solutions.
A follow-up survey revealed strong interest for in-depth dialogue among researchers and practitioners, as well as the need for specific guidance and tools for implementation and monitoring of multi-sectoral programs focusing on infants and young child growth and development. In response, this four-part event builds on the webinar series to offer a range of discussions focusing on key themes that merit further exploration and learning.
