Musculoskeletal Radiology

Why UT Southwestern

Recently accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), our one-year program encompasses primary clinical responsibilities at Parkland Memorial Hospital, UT Southwestern University Hospitals, and their clinical outpatient facilities. Fellows receive training in a collegial environment with the program goal of creating independent subspecialty consultants who will be leaders in the field. Fellows are essential to the clinical functioning of MSK Radiology, and facilitate the performance, interpretation, and reporting of advanced imaging studies, as well as the timely performance of a variety of MSK interventional procedures. They also participate as effective consultants in many multidisciplinary conferences, serve as teachers, and engage in various scholarly activities.

Our Mission

The mission of the Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship program is to prepare radiologists for successful careers in either academic or private practice settings, and to become independent subspecialty consultants who are leaders in the field. In keeping with the core values of the Department of Radiology, namely intellectual vibrancy and technological innovation, we employ multidisciplinary partnerships and bring scientific advances to the bedside and deliver world-class musculoskeletal diagnostic and interventional radiology services at UT Southwestern Hospitals and Clinics and at Parkland Memorial Hospital. We develop, provide and sustain cost effective and innovative practices with a focus on improved quality of patient experience while also imparting exceptional education and clinical skills to the next generation of leaders.
