An anti-Israel protest, led by antisemitic Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant, ended in multiple arrests on Thursday after activists failed to prevent an Israeli-owned cargo ship from offloading medical supplies and more in Seattle.

For almost two weeks, the ZIM San Diego, a large container ship owned by an Israeli shipping company Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd., has been unable to unload it's cargo after Antifa-backed, anti-Israel groups have threatened to block the ship from unloading.

Over the weekend, workers arriving at the port were heckled, and in some cases, attacked. A female security guard trying to enter the Port of Seattle Saturday to get to work, was reportedly mobbed by a group of anti-Israel protesters. Her rear window was smashed and her was car dented.

ZIM is a member of the 2M Alliance, one of the world’s largest shipping organizations. The company transports products from many different countries all over the globe. The Post Millennial has obtained a summary of the manifest of the ship which included: general goods, machinery, spare parts for cars and other machinery.

According to a statement from the Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA), "The ZIM San Diego is part of a regular service that calls Terminal 18, carrying routine import cargo from Asia, including medical and PPE equipment and picking up export cargo from our Washington exporters. Local retailers and businesses across the Midwest rely on the import cargo delivered by vessels to our terminals."

Nearly 150 pro-Palestine protesters gathered at Terminal 18 on Harbor Island around 4pm Thursday.

Demonstrators hoisting antisemitic signage and flying Palestinian flags marched in the street disrupting commerce, blocking traffic and preventing employees and trucks from accessing the port to offload the ZIM San Diego.

The "Block The Boat" demonstration was led by Marxist Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant. Sawant has previously hosted an antisemitic film at City Hall and used taxpayer money to fund the event. She has also written multiple condemnations of the Jewish state and hosted public comment sessions on Israel filled with antisemitic rhetoric.

Sawant is currently facing a recall election over multiple criminal offenses, ranging from helping protesters break-into Seattle City Hall during the George Floyd riots, helping Antifa and far-left activists create the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), and leading a protest to Mayor Jenny Durkan’s house.

Sawant marched while raising the communist fist alongside comrades in solidarity with Palestine and expressed a set of demands in a Thursday tweet. "We're marching to demand that Seattle's Democratic Port Commissioners stand with #BlockTheBoat, @falastiniyat & union longshore workers & not allow the Israeli ZIM cargo ship to be unloaded. Unions & the labor movement courageously blocking corporate profits will be crucial."

Seattle PD issued multiple warnings to the group to clear the intersection or they will be subject to arrest. The group defied SPD’s orders and continued marching around in circles while chanting anti-Semitic and anti-police slurs.

After the Pro-Hamas protesters repeated displays of defiance, Seattle PD moved in to clear the intersection. Ten individuals were arrested at Harbor Island on various charges after SPD issued an order to disperse. One officer told The Post Millennial that Sawant typically leaves an event shortly after egging on the crowd and taking a few pictures, and always manages to leave before arrests begin.

During the demonstration, violent anti-Israel activists assaulted a journalist covering the event and shattered their phone while attempting to steal the device.

The group, which included Antifa militants dressed in black-bloc to obscure identities, harassed a group of street-preacher attempting to deliver the Gospel. The activists hurled anti religious slurs at the preachers as they left.

According to the NWSA "Port of Seattle Police and Seattle Police Department have worked to provide a safe zone for protestors to ensure individual expression is protected while maintaining access to Terminal 18 to allow scheduled operations to continue. Law enforcement provided multiple warnings to individuals obstructing the right of way and made approximately ten arrests of individuals who refused to comply and continued to obstruct roadways.  We continue to monitor the situation as port operations return to normal."

The ship was scheduled to dock and unload Saturday, but over 200 protestors from Falestinyat and Antifa showed up attempting to stop the process by blocking access for workers to the port.

According to The Seattle Times, Falastiniyat, responding to a call from labor unions in the West Bank and Gaza, joined with other Seattle-based extremist groups in a call to action by the Arab Resource and Organizing Center (AROC).

Groups like the AROC, who are working to stop the ship are part of the antisemitic Boycott, Divest, Sanction movement which is committed to stopping the sale and production of goods from the Jewish state. BDS activities have shown that the movement has little to no effect on Israel but rather, adversely affects retailers in other countries that are attempting to sell the products, as well as Palestinians who work for Israeli companies.

Antifa allied with antisemitic activist groups during the latest conflict between Hamas and Israel. The anarchist group helped publicize events across North America commemorating the attempted mass genocide of Jews across the Middle East by Arab countries in 1948.

Activists attempted to lure Jews and pro-Israel counter protesters to the events, including those in Seattle, in order to assault them. Warnings of the plan were sent to Jewish organizations across the US and Canada. Videos of antisemitic attacks at the events at the hands of Antifa and pro-Palestinian activists were shared across social media.

Activist continue to fail at deterring ZIM ships from operating along the West Coast. The Israeli container ship ZIM Volans was unloaded at the port in Prince Rupert, BC, late Tuesday night, despite the efforts of anti-Israel activists, after the ship was originally prevented from unloading in Oakland, California.
