Following Denmark, Greece’s Ministry of Health announced they no longer require a vaccine passport for any reason in their country, including travel.

According to a news release from the Greek government, “At today’s meeting, the Committee of Experts of the Ministry of Health unanimously recommended [the] suspension of Covid pass [beginning] May 1 and return of capacity to 100 per cent and the suspension of EUDCC certificate at the country entry gates.”

“The proposal of the Commission is accepted by the government and the details that will be clarified on the new Joint Ministerial Decision to [be] issued.”

However, Greece’s indoor mask mandate will remain in place for the time being.

This comes shortly after Denmark became the first EU country to suspend their national COVID vaccine program.

More and more countries are easing restrictions, including Switzerland, where officials just announced they’ll drop their COVID-related travel restrictions as of May 2.

Conversely, Canada continues to require individuals to hold a vaccine passport for travel, effectively barring unvaccinated individuals from travelling by plane or train.

In fact, as reported by The Counter Signal, documents from late 2021 reveal Trudeau’s government might keep the mandates in place until 2024.

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney recently spoke out against Trudeau’s vindictive travel ban, as Canada is one of the few countries still enforcing it on its unvaccinated population.

“We think it serves no useful health purpose. They don’t have an alternative, which is a negative test, which might be a reasonable accommodation. But in any event, I think it’s a pointless policy,” Kenney said. “And I do not know of any other major country in the world that has a similar policy.”

Meanwhile, in Hamilton, Ontario, the city council just voted to keep their vaccine requirement in place, despite knowing this will put 441 individuals out of work by June 1.

Thus, as the rest of the world moves on from the pandemic nonsense of the last two years, Canada appears to be hellbent on staying in the 2020s.
