Vermont Property Information Exchange (VTPIE) Upgrade Project

Important Update: VTPIE Project Schedule

Thank you for your continued engagement and flexibility as we roll out the new Vermont Property Information Exchange (VTPIE) software system. Over a year into the project, we have rolled out several modules, such as the Geographic Information System (GIS) Viewer, the Sales Verification Process of the Equalization Study, and shortly, the Current Use and Homestead processing modules.

As we approach the 2023 property tax billing cycle, we have decided to maintain the New England Municipal Resource Center (NEMRC) Billing and Grand List modules for another year. We made this decision to ensure the ultimate success of the remaining VTPIE rollout and to provide municipalities time to learn the new modules and adjust to the new system. This scheduling change will  provide more time for testing, refinement, and training, with a longer timeframe for the launch of the Grand List and Billing modules. We believe this extra time will also allow municipalities a chance to adjust to the modules already launched in VTPIE, while using the familiar NEMRC system, for the 2023 billing processing.

What does this mean for you?

VTPIE - You will do your Sales Verification, Current Use, and Homestead processing in VTPIE for the 2023 Calendar Year.

NEMRC - You will do your Grand List submissions, Exemptions, TIF and Property Tax Billing in NEMRC for the 2023 Calendar Year (If you use another billing vendor, NEMRC will work with those vendors).

What do you need to do?

Monitor the DA Newsletter listserv and our website for training opportunities. Check in with your CAMA vendor to ensure they are providing you with the CAMA upload into VTPIE.

Always upload your CAMA data before you do any work in VTPIE to ensure you are using the most up-to-date information.
