11th Sustainability Symposium

Perspectives on Sustainability

This year’s Sustainability Symposium, Perspectives on Sustainability, invites us to consider the ubiquitous and contested term “sustainability” and how it is differently understood. ‘Sustainability’ can stand in as an aspirational shorthand, or be so broad as to be co-opted in a wide range of sometimes conflicting uses.

This spring, we invite the campus community to join together to explore different perspectives on sustainability, and to focus on the common objectives we hold for equitable, thriving human and natural communities, regardless of what we call it.
