This ruling was overturned due to a case in Mississippi, Dobbs vs. Jackson Women's Health went to the Supreme Court. Abortion decision now is left up to the states, which it should have been in the first place, due to state's rights clause in our Constitution. What Mississippi proposed is that abortion is legal until 4 months when the baby's heartbeat can be heard and can live outside the womb on its own. Not everyone will like this, but one thing about it is that it IS a compromise between the pro vs. anti-abortion sides and I hope it's something that at least most folks can live with. I know there are those who say NO ABORTION WHATSOEVER but I do think that if a 14 y.o. is raped and becomes pregnant, for example, she should be able to terminate the pregnancy instead of having a lifelong reminder of a horrifying event that will keep her in PTSD the rest of her life. Not everyone feels the same, one size doesn't fit all so if a young girl in those circumstances has a choice and talks it over with her family, I'm OK with that. Mississippi led the way in helping to return our nation to the idea of state's rights and for that reason, today I am a proud Mississipian!!
And now, the leftist woke violence will begin in full. And yes, you are the first to make me aware of this decision, thank you for all the work you are doing.
I heard this news from you first, Techno, and I sincerely appreciate your commentary about the decision, and I particularly appreciate your reference to Moloch, which tells me something about you that not everyone would comprehend. Please keep up the fantastic work!
My problem with all this is that one’s who are most upset about today’s abortion ruling are the ones who want us to regard January 6th as a frontal attack on our democratic principles (we’re actually a constitutional republic BTW but details, details...)...
So a court ruling that says it’s up to the citizens of each State (through the power of self-determination) to either allow abortions or not is inconsistent with a “democratic” process...???
How is that not a frontal attack on core of democratic principles?
Marvelous commentary, as always. I knew there was a reason why I was compelled to subscribe to TechnoFog. Admittedly (as a woman and native Californian) I have been largely ambivalent on the abortion issue. Now I’m in TX and as time marches on, so does the tyrannical Left - demanding more and more latitude to end life at any stage - why not offer elderly euthanasia as an abortion service too? Abortion is already being used as expedient birth control, which is aberrant. I damn-near strangled at Northem’s obvious intent to allow a pesky surviving entity to expire torturously on a metal table after birth, or worse. The ghoulish, celebratory grins of Cuomo’s NYC supporters as he signed the law for late (late, LATE) term abortions swung me into negative territory. I don’t see the point in Roe v Wade when there are states rights. The Feds don’t HAVE to pass a law. States like CA and NY that want to turn themselves into abortion tourist attractions aren’t prohibited from doing so. Gavin Newsom will offer 3 days/2 nights “ Abortion Special “ package tours - 1st day Disneyland in Anaheim, 2nd day abortion in Hollywood, Venice Beach on the 3rd day. Or, conversely the same premise at Coney Island. If late term abortion means so much to a person, commit to the location and move to a place that offers it. Those services don’t need to be mandatory in every state, whether voters agree or not. I know ethics & morals annoy the Left but the Left annoys Libertarians who HAVE ethics & morals and they may as well get over themselves. Pelosi’s opinion isn’t sacrosanct. Abortion isn’t mentioned in the Constitution. Roe v Wade should never have been passed.
For what it is worth.....you were THE one to notify me of the ruling. I really enjoy your Substack writings. Keep it up. Peace.
You. Techno Fog. Were. The. (as in THE). FIRST. to report on this historic decision.
Wow!
and pooh pooh to Roberts. what was he thinking?
The legality of abortion moves to the states where it should have been to start with.
I haven’t even seen a headline come across my phone saying this yet. Thanks for being on top of it. I feel like LIFE won today

Churches and pro-life groups are in danger.
Praise God
The purple haired Marxists are in full meltdown. I haven’t had this much fun since election night 2016.
Kudos, TechoFog...not just for being early with the report of the decision, but for your excellent and uncomplicated analysis as well.

You can't be serious, you mean the decision has been "left to the states, or the people" just like it says in our founding documents.
I demand a Constitutional Amendment SIR!
I Demand It!
LOL

I was hoping they would delay the decision to a Monday so the crazies would have a work week to cool off.
This weekend will be interesting for sure... in a bad way.
Pray!
