Professional Experience
Tom Porter serves as the Food Processing and Manufacturing Lead for Stream Realty’s National Program Management team. Tom is experienced in leading occupiers through the complex requirements of food and beverage facilities. This involves in-house logistics management through the alignment of a corporation’s production and/or distribution goals with the development or renovation of a facility. Tom manages build-to-suit and tenant improvements for owners, occupiers, or investors in food processing and manufacturing industrial facilities
Before joining Stream, Tom was a Senior Vice President within JLL’s Industrial Project and Development Services team focused on food and beverage. In this role, he led multiple projects from pre-design and planning through construction and closeout. His responsibilities included leading project team selection, schedule and cost management, value engineering, document and constructability reviews, reporting, and overall leadership. Tom was also a Project Manager at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company for over five years, where he successfully managed projects including life science/laboratory facilities, clean room research facilities, and higher education projects from inception to completion.
