Buffalo has a ton of options for outdoor dining in the summer, but when it comes to the winter months, you’re forced inside to avoid the low temps unless you’re brave enough to weather the chill on a heated patio.
Thankfully igloo dinning is available at a few spots around town. Here’s where you can find them, how you can book one, and what’s included:

1. Rick’s On Main

Igloos are now available for outdoor dining at this East Aurora restaurant. They are heated and vented, offering a full menu & bar. Booking is available now through March, 2024. You can book a party of up to 4 people per booking, there are 3 time slots available, all bookings will be allotted 1hr & 45min (Strictly enforced), and there is a $300 food & beverage minimum (excluding tax & 20% gratuity).
2. Tappo Restaurant (Ellicott St.)
338 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203
Situated on the roof of Tappo restaurant downtown with panoramic views of the city, these igloos need to be on your winter bucket list. Gather eight of your friends for dinner. The basic package includes a choice of two bottles of wine, a warm beverage (like mulled wine or spiked hot cider), a choice of a tossed or caesar salad, a choice of two entrees and dessert platter. Packages range from $450-$650 with add-ons as well.
3. Zambistro
408 Main St, Medina, NY 14103
This year Zambistro is offering an igloo dining experience in Medina with options on their patio and rooftop. Seatings are available Monday-Thursday on the downstairs patio only at 5 and 7pm and on Friday & Saturday on the downstairs patio and on the rooftop at 4, 6, and 8pm. They offer 2 menus to choose from and take reservations by phone only.
4. Deep South Taco (Ellicott)
291 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203
In addition to Deep South’s already heated patio setup, igloos are now available to enjoy this holiday season. For reservations, call 716-235-8464.
5. Blackthorn Pub
2134 Seneca Street, South Buffalo, NY 14220
Blackthorn Pub has recently added outdoor igloo dining to their private dining options. All bookings will be allotted 1hr & 45min, 8 people max per group, $200 food and drink minimum plus tax and 20% gratuity, and blue tooth speaker provided!
