NH Video Voter Guides for the General Election

Hands hold a paper sheet with the message your vote matters over a crowded street background. People legal and democratic rights, every voice counts. Election campaign and electoral agitation concept

Welcome to AARP New Hampshire’s 2020 Video Voters Guides!

Instead of a live forum event this year, we’re doing things a little differently. We sent questions to each candidate, and they recorded their answers. We put together the questions and answers, so you can watch safely, from home.

AARP is fighting to protect 50+ voters and make your voice heard on the issues that matter – protecting Social Security and Medicare, Rx drug prices, long term care, and ensuring you can vote safely from home or in-person.

AARP New Hampshire is committed to informing its nearly 225,000 members and the public on where candidates stand on key issues that the 50+ population in New Hampshire care about. AARP has a proud, 34-year history of non-partisan voter engagement. We do not endorse candidates or make candidate/campaign contributions; we do, however, inform AARP members and the public on where candidates stand on issues of importance to 50+ Americans.

The 50+ are the most reliable voting bloc, making up 59 percent of the electorate in the 2018 midterms, and 53 percent in the 2016 presidential election. AARP’s questions to the candidates focus on policies to ensure that all Granite Staters have the opportunity to live safe, healthy lives in their communities and to enjoy economic stability as they grow older.

Thank you to all our candidates for taking the time to answer AARP’s questions. To win, candidates will need to protect the health and financial security of voters 50+, especially during this pandemic.

We’d like to remind everyone to vote. The General Election is November 3rd. Find out how to register to vote and cast your ballot using AARP's New Hampshire voter guide, and keep up with the latest election news at AARP.org/election2020.

Thank you for watching, and don’t forget to VOTE Safe in 2020: Make your voice heard!
