Welcome to the Introduction to High-Performance Computing Bootcamp Application System.
The bootcamp is hosted by the Department of Energy (DOE) Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) Computing Facilities at Argonne National Lab (ALCF), Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (NERSC), and Oak Ridge National Lab (OLCF) and organized by Sustainable Horizons Institute. Designed to provide students in STEM domains with hands-on experience utilizing HPC for energy justice initiatives, this immersive program allows students to work on energy justice projects of their interest while learning the fundamentals of HPC, including parallel computing, job scheduling, and data analysis techniques. No prior experience with HPC is required.
Students from underrepresented backgrounds (Black or African American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islanders, women, persons with disabilities, first generation scholars, and students from community and smaller colleges and universities) are strongly encouraged to apply.
The application deadline is: May 22, 2023.

Thanks for your interest in participating in the Sustainable Research Pathways program.
Submissions for funded participation for the Matching Workshop (January 11-13, 2023) and for summer experiences in 2023 is now closed.
SRP began in 2015 at Berkeley Lab and has fostered over 300 connections between lab scientists and faculty and students from a variety of U.S. colleges and universities. In 2021, SRP expanded through the DOE Exascale Computing Project (ECP), to a multi-lab high-performance computing (HPC) program. Based on last summer’s success, SRP is now a multi-lab program spanning ECP and other computational and data science projects.
SRP is designed to connect students from (and faculty working with) underrepresented groups with DOE National Laboratory scientists to encourage lasting collaborations and jump start careers. Underrepresented groups include people who are Black or African American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islanders, women, persons with disabilities, first generation scholars, students from community and smaller colleges and universities, and others.
