Application Portal: click here

Application Deadline: Applications, complete with CV and Statement, need to be submitted by February 9th. After this deadline, further applications will be considered on a weekly rolling basis if there are spaces available.

Eligibility: The 4th annual edition of the Cornell SmallSat Mission Design School is offered to graduate students and postdocs across the US. Undergraduates enrolled at Cornell with experience on space projects or completion of MAE 4160/4161 are also welcome to apply. All participants must be available for the in-person portion of the program (Cornell Ithaca campus) during the final week of the school (July 7th – 12th).

Funding: Funding for travel to/from Cornell and local lodging may be made available but cannot be guaranteed at this time. Some food will be provided throughout the program, but not all meals.

FAQ:

Is it possible to attend only for some part of the in-person week due to other internships/placements etc.?

A: No. In general, the success of the program relies on everyone committing to the goals of the school and working together as a team which requires an in-person presence. In some cases, where participants have had other summer commitments, we have found that those placements may be flexible to allow you the 1-week away – often the benefits of this school being complimentary to the efforts of the other placement.
