Little STEAMers is a program designed for children ages 3 - 6 that combines fun rhymes and songs with a STEAM activity, a early literacy activity, a math activity, a craft and suggested fun picture books. **While this program is no longer supported with activity kits from the library, please feel free to use as a resource for ideas!**

The letter we will learn about is the letter Rr for Ramps. We will be measuring how far things roll with a measuring tape, and making a paper tube car!

For this Little STEAMers, kids will be making two kites from a single sheet of paper, focusing on the letter Kk for Kites, making a shape book, and a windsock for the craft.
Let's celebrate spring with all things rainbow!! Kids will be making a kaleidoscope, doing an experiment with Skittles, focusing on the letter Uu for Umbrella, sorting colors with Froot Loops, and making a rainbow necklace!
April showers bring May flowers! Moving from winter to spring brings a change in the weather. Kids will be exploring weather by making rain in a cup, seeing if the wind will move objects, focusing on the letter Ww for weather, learning about one more and one less and make a weather chart!
Come on down to the farm! Kids will be learning what animals are down on the farm and making enclosures for them. They will learn about the letter Cc for cow and about positional words by playing and making a booklet. For the craft, they will be making farm animal masks.
