Welcome to my portfolio. I am currently a graduate student in the Plymouth State Library Media Studies and Technology Integration Dual Certification Program. I am also a full time elementary Library Media Specialist at three schools in Contoocook Valley School District in New Hampshire.

I got my Bachelor's of Education in Early Childhood from the University of Vermont in 2013. I also have a minor in Special Education and a major concentration in history.

I was an elementary educator for seven years in Vermont before deciding to change career paths. I loved being a classroom teacher but through that process I have realized that my true passion lies in literacy and STEAM integration as well as project based learning. Being a Library Media and Digital Integration Specialist allows me to explore these passions in a new and exciting way. In addition, I believe strongly that a culture of diversity and inclusion is essential to every school. My role allows me to create this culture through literature, discuss and project based and/or social justice learning experiences.

My passions outside of education include traveling, quilting and spending time on the water. I spend most of my summers traveling the world. I have been to Australia, New Zealand and Scotland in recent years. I hope my next trip will be to Washington State to see the native Orca pods. I believe that traveling helps me to feel connected to the world as a whole and inspires me to share that world with my students.
