About us

Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) has over three decades of experience of providing dispute resolution services to parties doing business in, or through, the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region. The Centre is the region’s largest arbitral institution, independent, and committed to excellence, efficiency, and diversity. DIAC is an independent, nongovernmental, not for profit organisation that administers and supports arbitration and mediation proceedings and various other forms of alternative dispute resolution. The Centre was established in 1994 as the Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre, an initiative of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was renamed the Dubai International Arbitration Centre by Dubai Decree No. 10 of 2004. It is no longer an initiative of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and currently operates in accordance with a statute that was published together with Dubai Decree No. 34 of 2021. The Centre has a three-tier structure, comprising a Board of Directors, Arbitration Court, and administrative body.
