PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

You know the importance of prospect development and the value it brings to a development team, but does everyone outside the prospect development team know it, as well? As prospect development professionals, we have opportunities every day to showcase our skills and present real results but what is the best way to do this? How can we move the needle on our impact within our development teams while also growing as leaders? Join me to hear lessons I've learned while leading small and large-ish teams in both higher ed and a national cause-based organization.

PRESENTER:

Beth Inman is the director of advancement research & analysis at Colby College in Waterville, ME. Prior to joining Colby, Beth held similar roles at JDRF, the University of South Carolina, and The Citadel Foundation. Before her prospect development career, Beth was the associate curator of American and decorative art at the Columbia Museum of Art in Columbia, SC. She has served on the Ethics & Compliance committee and chaired the Awards committee for Apra International, and was the president of Apra Carolinas from 2015-2018. She is the recipient of the 2017 Apra Carolinas Distinguished Service Award and the 2019 Apra International Distinguished Service Award.

Beth is a native of Charlotte, NC and holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a master’s degree in art history from the University of South Carolina. She is mom to an 18 year old daughter and is passionate about literacy, the arts, and women’s rights causes.
