Spring Happenings
Celebrate spring with us at the National Arboretum! We're partnering with lots of local partners to host exciting activities and events, including:
“The Epic of Gilgamesh” Outdoor Performance
Saturday, March 26th at 2 PM
Sunday, March 27th at 2 PM
The Academy at Shakespeare Theater Company presents "The Epic of Gilgamesh" in an outdoor performance in the Arboretum's Grove. This event is free but registration is required.

Native Plant Sale
Sunday, March 27th from 9 AM to 2 PM
Fill your garden with native plants from our vendors and get your garden questions answered by the plant experts. Registration is preferred but not required — let us know you're coming!

Off the Beaten Path Choral Performance
Wednesday, April 6th at 7 PM & 8:15 PM
Join the All Souls Choir for a night to remember under the stars at the National Arboretum. This strolling event will celebrate the bounties of DC in springtime, honoring the ancestors and the cycle of life of both flora and fauna. Registration is required — our suggested ticket price is $25 but please pay what you can to attend.

Garden Fair & Plant Sale
Saturday, April 30th from 8 AM to 4 PM
Prepare your garden for the year with our fantastic array of plants, vendors, and expert gardening advice. FONA members get early access from 8 AM to 10 AM become a member today! The event is open to the general public from 10 AM to 4 PM. Registration is preferred but not required — let us know you're coming!

Lunar Eclipse Viewing
Sunday, May 15th from 8 PM to Midnight
Kick back and relax in the Arboretum's Ellipse Meadow as you watch the total lunar eclipse of the Blood Moon. You'll get to see the penumbral eclipse begin and move towards the total eclipse, which will reach its maximum around midnight. This event is free but registration is required.

Forest Bathing Walks
March to August, various dates and times
Let us guide you in disconnecting from the digital world and reconnecting with nature during this mindfulness experience. Registration is required — our suggested ticket price is $35 but please pay what you can to attend.

Vendor Corner
Want to be a vendor at our Garden Fair & Plant Sale? We have limited booths still available in our vendor village. Email us by Sunday, March 20th to let us know you're interested.

Arboretum Activities
Attend the Arboretum's 35th Annual Lahr Native Plant Symposium on Saturday, March 26th from 9 AM to 3 PM. This virtual symposium brings together subject matter experts on ecological, botanical, and horticultural advancement. See the event flyer for full details and speaker line-up. Tickets are $75 (FONA members, remember to use your discount code).

The Arboretum is open every day from 8 AM to 5 PM except December 25th. Some buildings and collections remain closed to ensure visitor and staff safety.
