What to expect: We'll be kicking off the celebration outside with
Dance and Be Fit's Roland Ford! Join us in the Pitt Union Plaza (along Fifth Ave.) from 1-1:30 p.m. for music and dancing. Remarks will begin at 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
Accessibility: The William Pitt Student Union and sidewalks leading to the entrances of the main floor are flat, paved and well-lit. The event will be on the main floor of the building, which has automatic entrance doors and accessible restrooms. There will be an ASL interpreter.
Getting there: When you arrive at the Union from Fifth Ave, go towards the right and past the Information desk. You will see signage for the event. Nearby parking options include Soldiers & Sailors Garage (4390 Bigelow Blvd) and Sennot Square Garage (210 S Bouquet), plus street parking spots. Pittsburgh Regional Transit routes 54, 58, 61A/B/C/D, 67, 69, 71A/B/C/D, 75, 81, 83, 93 and P3 go near the Union. An accessible drop-off and pick-up area is along the Bigelow Blvd side of the Union. Bike racks are available. If any of these transportation modes are cost-prohibitive for you, contact Cassandra to discuss options.
