For 21 years, Secure the Call – a 501(c)(3) non-profit – has provided free 911 phones and tablets to Victims of Domestic Violence, Senior Citizen Centers, and other high-risk communities across the country. OUR PROGRAM
How our Process Works
STEP 1
Collect Donated Devices
- Send us your unwanted cell phones and tablets
- Damaged devices are separated for parts and for e-waste recycling
- Devices in good working order are passed to the next stage of processing
STEP 2
Prepare Devices for Distribution
- All usable devices are hand reformatted by us to ensure that your data is completely removed from the phone.
- SIM cards are removed and shredded on site. Phones are powered up and test called to make sure they work properly.
STEP 3
Provide Devices to Our Community Partners
- Refurbished and tested devices are packaged with chargers and accessories.
- We ship to over 200 Community Partners across the nation who distribute these life-saving devices to people who need them the most.

- All working tablets and iPads

- Chargers and accessories
What we cannot use in our program:
- TVs
- Desktops
- Laptops
- Printers
- Household batteries
- Any electronic device that isn’t a cell phone or tablet
