SPORTS MANAGEMENT
Kellogg Community College’s Associate in Applied Science in Sports Management degree program is designed for students to transfer to a four-year institution to continue toward a bachelor’s degree in the same or similar field of study or immediately enter into a career in fields including commercial recreation, physical education and/or the fitness industry.
The Sports Management degree path at KCC will take students through foundational aspects of the sports business, such as leadership and management, marketing, finance, history and entrepreneurship to prepare them for a world full of exciting events, fierce competition and impactful community effects.

Students completing the Sports Management Program at KCC have the opportunity to complete the following certifications in addition to their degree:
- Medical First Responder (required course through EMT 110: Medical First Responder Training)
- Personal Trainer (required course through PEP 205: Personal Training)
- Sport Nutrition Specialist (required course through PEHL 200: Sports Nutrition)
Michigan Transfer Agreement
Graduates earning the Associate of Applied Science in Sports Management will have fulfilled all requirements of the Michigan Transfer Agreement, which guarantees the transfer of credits for select general education classes among colleges and universities in Michigan.
High School Dual Enrollment
KCC’s Sports Management Program welcomes dual-enrolled high school students. For students wanting hands-on experience, we highly recommend they meet with their high school athletic director for potential internship opportunities and other industry experience.
