TUCKERTON, NJ — A Tuckerton chef is taking on another competition on the Food Network. And this time, winning will mark her as one of the very best.

Britt Rescigno , who recently left Delaware Avenue Oyster House in Beach Haven, is vying for the winning spot in Guy Fieri's "Tournament of Champions."

It's far from her first foray into cooking competitions. If you don't know her from her local cooking, you might have seen her on "Guy's Grocery Games," which got her the spot on "TOC." Or you might've seen her on "Chopped." Or "Beat Bobby Flay."

Winning would get Rescigno bragging rights, plus a cool $100,000 prize. In her first round of this March Madness-like cooking show, she beat defending champion Tiffani Faison. In an episode that's set to air April 2, she'll face off against Iron Chef Jose Garces.

The experience has been a dream come true, Rescigno told NJ Advance Media. And she's growing a massive fan base.

A visit to Rescigno's Instagram (with nearly 11,000 followers) shows an outpouring of love in the comments.

"Win it all!" one fan wrote.

"You've made all of us JERSEY PROUD!" another said.

Her fans love her attitude, her cooking and of course - the fact that she's from South Jersey doesn't hurt.

And that support feels great, Rescigno told the Asbury Park Press.

"It's crazy that people take time out of their days to watch me, to watch me do my career," Rescigno told the Press.

Keep up with Rescigno's journey by tuning into the Food Network at 8 p.m. on April 2 and watch her in "Tournament of Champions."
