Part of the American Council of Education (ACE) Women's Network5, GAWHE is a volunteer-based nonprofit that focuses on the inclusivity of women in higher education. It is dedicated to providing professional support for female educators, administrators, and researchers in higher education in Georgia.

"GAWHE truly is a space for everyone," Meek said. "In the coming year, we are planning more programs, both virtual and in-person, to give women in higher education much-needed networking and professional development opportunities."
