ORWH, in collaboration with the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, has released the  “Notice of Intent to Publish a Funding Opportunity Announcement for Advancing Gender Inclusive Excellence (AGIE) Coordinating Center (U54)” (NOT-OD-21-051). The AGIE Coordinating Center will provide the organizational framework for the management, direction, and coordination of data from activities aimed at removing barriers for women to achieve leadership roles in science. The center will be responsible for the design and implementation of data collection, quality assurance and monitoring, and organizing multiple approaches to achieving this goal across NIH programs.

The AGIE Coordinating Center will consist of five cores—an Administrative Core, Data Coordination Core, Communication and Dissemination Core, Toolkit Core, and Pilot and Feasibility Core—and will work collaboratively with NIH to ensure data collaboration and serve as a hub for current and future programs.

The funding announcement will be open to organizations such as State and local governments, public and private universities, small businesses, and nonprofits and will be published in the early spring of 2021. The due date for applications is expected to be in the early summer of 2021.
