Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors called on would-be activists to “step up boldly and courageously to end the imperialist project that’s called Israel” during remarks on a panel at Harvard Law School in 2015.
The remarks by Cullors, who resigned from the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation Thursday amid criticism over her lavish lifestyle — including the purchase of four high-end homes as revealed by the Post last month — were dredged up by The Post Millennial, which tweeted a clip of them Friday.
In the same clip, Cullors described the Palestinian cause as “our generation’s South Africa” and warned that “we’re doomed” if Israel was not brought to an “end.”
According to Fox News, Cullors was part of a panel organized by Harvard Law’s Human Rights Program. The title of the panel, “Globalizing Ferguson: Racialized Policing and International Resistance,” referenced the 2014 police killing of Michael Brown in the St. Louis suburb that launched the Black Lives Matter movement.
Later in the panel, Cullors encouraged her audience to seek out the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and expressed support for Rasmea Odeh, a convicted Palestinian terrorist who at the time was engaged in a protracted legal battle to remain in the United States.
Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby tweeted Sunday that Cullors “has the same goal as Hamas, the PLO, and Iran’s ayatollah. Whatever their differences, they are all antisemites [sic] who yearn to drive the Jews into the sea.”
Meanwhile, mothers of black men killed by police have accused Cullors and Black Lives Matter of profiting off the death of their sons.
“They are benefiting off the blood of our loved ones, and they won’t even talk to us,” Samaria Rice, whose 12-year-old son Tamir was shot by Cleveland police while playing with a toy gun in November 2014, told the Post.
As for Cullors, Rice said: “I don’t believe she’s going anywhere. It’s all a facade. She’s only saying that to get the heat off her right now.”
