Hotel, museum, and condos coming to new downtown Toronto towers (RENDERINGS)
Two new towers that have gone up on the busy Toronto corner of King Street West and Blue Jays Way won’t just be filled with condos — they’ll have a hotel and museum, too.
The nearly complete King Blue development is comprised of two towers 44 and 48 storeys in height. They were built on the site of the 90-year-old Westinghouse Building that sat at 115 Blue Jays Way and incorporated the old building’s facade into their design.

Seven stories will be dedicated to the hotel — a Qube Hotel — which will have 120 rooms. Qube Hotels is owned and operated by the King Blue project’s developer Greeland Group — a Shanghai-based international real estate development company.
The towers will also house a new 10,000 sq ft space for the Theatre Museum of Canada to house all of its exhibits on the history of Canadian Theatre.
It will be conveniently located near the upcoming Mirvish + Gehry development, which is set to have a new Mirvish Theatre space, and it is just a few blocks away from the TIFF Bell Lightbox.

The building itself will be quite lavish, with a double-height lobby, many amenities, and high-end finishes.

A pool, sky bar, media room, outdoor patio space, and gym are just some of the amenities that will be shared amongst the hotel and condos.

Even though the towers’ 910 condos were just completed last year, most of the units in these buildings have already sold. There are, however, a few listed and, unsurprisingly, they come with fairly steep price tags.

The lowest-priced condo that’s currently available is a studio going for $475,000. A three-bedroom, on the other hand, is listed for $1,350,000.

Although it is not yet clear when exactly the hotel and theatre museum will be opening, hopefully Toronto residents and visitors shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to get a peak inside.
