We couldn’t have done it without you.

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the National Naval Reserve Monument’s restoration project, which was celebrated in a grand ceremony on October 14th, 2023. Thanks to the support and dedication of many, this quiet and dignified monument, marking the centenary of Canada’s Naval Reserve, has been beautifully revitalized.

In a heartfelt ceremony, led by the Governor General Mary Simon and Vice-Admiral Angus Topshee, the rededication took place at HMCS Carleton in Ottawa. The guard was composed of naval reservists from every naval reserve division in Canada and was attended by members of the Navy League and young sea cadets, highlighting the importance of connecting new generations with the rich history of the reserves.

The ceremony underscored the enduring significance of the Navy’s role in Canada’s history and its commitment to safeguarding our nation. We extend our gratitude to all who contributed to the monument’s restoration and to those who celebrated this momentous occasion with us.

We owe the success of the project to our wonderful partners who contributed so much. Thank you all for your support and dedication to Canada’s naval reservists.
