Through a partnership with UNCG Center for New North Carolinians and a grant from USCIS NAI provides US Citizenship classes. The classes are free but the textbook cost is $30. Classes are offered at a variety of times and locations. Online classes are also available several times a year.
To participate students must have a Permanent Resident Card and apply for citizenship within 6 months of taking the class. Potential students need to be able to communicate at least some in English and intake, including pre-testing, must be completed before starting classes. Students who do not meet the minimum level of English will be referred to English classes.
