Please Register in Advance for the Older Adults Stakeholder Meeting
The Department is asking stakeholders interested in attending the Older Adult Stakeholder meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, to register in advance.
Background
The Department has an opportunity under the ARPA initiative 4.07 - New Systems of Care Grants to identify and pilot innovative systems of care that recognize and leverage the needs and capabilities of various populations. The Department has contracted with Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) to study successful initiatives implemented by other states. PCG is currently conducting an environmental scan of evidence-based practices that could be used to develop innovative systems of care pilot programs that:
- Pair older adults with college students (or similar) who need affordable housing
- Provide college credits for college students employed as HCBS providers
- Provide low/no cost child care to HCBS direct support professionals (DSPs)
- Provide total compensation packages for DSPs
As part of the environmental scan, PCG in collaboration with the Department identified seven to eight programs across the country to conduct an in-depth analysis to gain information regarding the program reimbursement models; available program data demonstrating effectiveness of the program; and a description of the program components. After completing the in-depth analysis, PCG will draft an Environmental Scan Findings Report and submit to the Department.
About this Meeting
The Department recognizes the importance of stakeholder engagement to inform the grant development process. As such, PCG in collaboration with the Department will conduct a virtual stakeholder meeting to share the findings of the environmental scan and solicit feedback from stakeholders.

The Department asks interested stakeholders to register for the meeting.
The meeting will be held:
