Each year, re-enrollment is required for the NCFlex Flexible Spending Accounts to continue contributions into the next year. Whether you choose to re-enroll or decline the plan, if you have money left over from the 2022 account (and/or 2021's carry forward account), you can roll over up to $550 total into 2023 (if you have a minimum balance of $25).
Keep in mind, anything over the $550 will be lost if not used by 12/31/22. You have until 3/31/23 to file claims for the 2022 plan year. Check your account balance at ncflex.padmin.com or through P&A Group's mobile app.
The new annual limit for the HCFSA will be $2,850 and the new rollover going into 2024 will be $570.
Want to plan how much to contribute in 2023?
Try our HCFSA Worksheet. Be sure to consider how much you have rolling over if anything. For example, if you have $200 left in your 2022 account and $500 left in your 2021 rollover, $550 of that will roll into 2023 and $150 should be used by 12/31/22 or it will be lost. To view an interactive eligibility list, check out the FSA Store's Eligibility Tool. Remember, anything you contribute in 2023 cannot be used for expenses dated prior to 1/1/2023!
