About this cause

We're a group who want to develop life skills in young people through sailing and by providing water sports facilities and training to others. BLYM makes the mental and physical health benefits of water sports accessible to all young, disabled and disadvantaged people as well as adults, regardless of background. We take over 6000 people from the Rickmansworth area onto the water each year.

How this cause brings people in the community together

BLYM brings together young people, supported by adult volunteers, to provide accessible and affordable water sports facilities and training to all social groups in the surrounding area, including young, disabled and disadvantaged people. The mental and physical health benefits to the communities in and around Rickmansworth have never been so important and the experience is often transformational.
