John Beilenson
is President of SCP (formerly Strategic Communications & Planning), a
certified B Corporation and socially responsible communications and
public relations firm, which he founded in 1987. SCP serves a wide range
of nonprofit organizations, foundations, and public institutions
throughout the United States. He has delivered more than 100
communications presentations, workshops, and trainings around the
country, serves on the ReFraming Aging national advisory committee, and
is a certified facilitator in ReFraming Aging from The Frameworks
Institute in Washington, DC.
Heather Carroll,
LSWA, NCDP, NCDM is director of advocacy for the NH Alliance for Healthy
Aging (NHAHA). She is a licensed social worker, dementia
practitioner and has been working in the field with elders for over 15
years. Prior to joining NHAHA, Heather was the Regional Manager for
the State of New Hampshire for the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter
and managed the Federal and State Government affairs for Dementia related
legislation for NH. Heather is the Chairwoman of the New Hampshire
HHS& EA oversight sub-committee for Alzheimer’s disease and related
dementia. Heather has worked in assisted living, and long- term
care as well as Geriatric psych care settings.
Cheryl S.
Steinberg has been on the staff of New Hampshire Legal
Assistance (NHLA) since 1999. She currently serves as directing
attorney of NHLA’s Senior Law Project where she focuses her work elder
financial exploitation, abusive and illegal debt collection practices,
and nursing home/assisted living resident rights. Prior to becoming
director of the Senior Law Project, Cheryl served in many other roles at
NHLA, including staff attorney, senior legal advice line manager and
director of a medical-legal collaborative project. Before joining
NHLA, Cheryl spent two years as a staff attorney at the Disability Rights
Center-NH. She is a member of the NH Bar Association’s Health Law
Section and the NH Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law
Attorneys.
