Grants for Licensed & Registered Child Care Programs

The final application period closed on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:59 pm MDT. 

 

Licensed and Registered child care providers applied for funding to stabilize their child care business.  This includes support to maintain or resume offering child care services. Providers received grant funds up to 45% of their operating expenses. Funds can be used for operating expenses like personnel costs, rent and utilities, health and safety training, facility maintenance, equipment and more.

Allowable operating expenses include:

  • Personnel costs including benefits, premium pay, bonuses, and recruitment and retention
  • Rent or mortgage
  • Facility expenses including utilities, insurance, maintenance, and minor improvements
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) including cleaning and sanitation supplies and services
  • Training and professional development for staff on health and safety practices
  • Equipment and supplies in response to COVID-19
  • Goods and services necessary to maintain or resume services

Quarterly Report forms and instructions will be emailed to you.

Step 1: Check your eligibility

Step 2: If the provider is eligible, apply to the grant

Step 3: DPHHS processes and reviews the application

Step 4: Provider receives a request for additional information, a notice of award, or a denial letter

Step 5: Provider receives funds quarterly

Step 6: Provider submits quarterly reports to DPHHS

Step 7: DPHHS monitors provider funds
