Accessibility & Special Accommodations

The Adams Center is committed to providing superior service to all patrons, including guests with special needs or disabilities.  The Adams Center is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is prepared to provide accommodations based on the needs of our patrons to ensure their safety and enjoyment when attending an event at the Adams Center.  Please find more information about accessibility and special accommodations in the items below.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING & TICKETING

Accessible seating is available in several different areas of the arena.  Griz Tix offers ADA seating with up to three companion seats and limited mobility seating.  Patrons with minor mobility impairments who are able to navigate a few stairs may find acceptable seating in areas other than designated ADA seating areas.  It is recommended that ADA seating be purchased through the Adams Center Box Office as the box office staff is very knowledgeable about the arena and the accessible seating options.  Please contact the Adams Center Box Office at (406)243-4051 or 888-MONTANA for more information about ADA seating availability.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

Parking is designated for vehicles displaying a current state-issued ADA placard or license plate.  For most events these spaces are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis so please plan accordingly.

SERVICE ANIMALS

Service animals are welcome inside all University of Montana buildings. These animals must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times.  (If you intend to bring a service animal to an event, please notify the Adams Center Box Office staff at the time of your ticket purchase so accommodations are appropriate for you and your service animal).

ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES (ALD)

Assisted Listening Devices are available for patrons with hearing impairments.  The devices may be checked out free of charge for the duration of an event.  Patrons will be required to leave a credit card and driver’s license or valid UM Griz Card until the device is returned.  Please check out the device at the Adams Center Box Office.  If you have questions regarding ALD use at the Adams Center, please call 406-243-5355.

INTERPRETING SERVICES

Sign-language interpreters are available for Adams Center events by request 48 hours prior to an event.  Please contact the Adams Center Box Office by phone at (406) 243-4051 or 888-MONTANA or by email at GrizTix@umontana.com for more information about interpreting services.

ELEVATORS

There are two elevators in the Adams Center.  One can be accessed at the south end of the main lobby and serves the A, B, and C Concourses.  The other is located in the south east corner of the Adams Center, accessible on the main level or the Hall of Champions east or west entrance, and serves the A, B and C Concourses and the Sky Club.

EMERGENCIES & EVACUATION

In the event of an emergency situation, all event staff have been instructed and trained to assist all guests in vacating the premises to a safe location.  Emergency strobe lights and voice announcements are located throughout the Adams Center.  In the event there is an emergency, please remain calm and follow the instructions from event staff.

RESTROOMS

All Adams Center restroom facilities are ADA accessible.  Restrooms are located on the B and C Concourses.  There is also a family restroom on the southwest end of the B Concourse.
