RUTGERS LAW SCHOOL invites applications for a non tenure visiting clinical faculty position in the Camden location to begin in the summer of 2024. The positions are funded by a major appropriation from the New Jersey legislature to Rutgers Law School that is in its third year and is expected to continue, and by a three-year grant from the New Jersey State Bar Foundation (NJSBF). Each position will be for an initial one-year appointment with the potential for renewal for up to three years. Appointment for the non tenure visiting faculty position may be as a visiting assistant, associate, or full professor depending on experience and other considerations. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis so interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Visiting Clinical Professor, Medical-Legal Partnership Clinic The visiting clinical professor will help launch a new clinic focused on representing clients with substance use or other mental health issues in criminal, municipal, and civil legal matters and working with community partners to engage in statewide advocacy regarding issues affecting our clients. Minimum requirements include a J.D. degree and membership in good standing of the Bar of any state; 5 years of legal experience in criminal, municipal court, or civil legal matters, experience working with clients with substance use or other mental health issues, and demonstrated potential for teaching excellence. |
