Session Abstract: In this webinar, presenters we will discuss the recent creation of a section dedicated to Inclusion (including physical, cultural, and cognitive) in Version 3 of the Learning Space Rating System (LSRS). The LSRS is a tool for measuring the extent to which learning spaces can facilitate multiple modalities of learning and teaching. For the new section on Inclusion, our goal is to provide institutions and educators a research-based framework for designing spaces with the most potential to be physically, cognitively, and culturally inclusive. As two of the co-authors of version 3, we will briefly introduce the LSRS, describe its new framework for Inclusion, show a few examples, and engage participants in wide-ranging discussion about their experiences with inclusive learning space design and practice.
