In 1994, he took a job with PAI Industries, Suwanee, GA as an outside salesman traveling 13 states in the Midwest.

On September 30, 1995, he married Juanita Ventura and moved to Joplin, MO to make his home with her for the next 27 years. They have been active members of College Heights Christian Church, Joplin. Jim desired to have a “living visitation”, and many friends and family visited him at his home in Joplin while he was able to receive visitors along with the Cupcake Celebration of his 27th wedding anniversary with Juanita, hosted by College Heights Christian Church on September 25, 2022. Jim loved and served his Lord with every fiber of his being, and cared for his wife with all his tender heart until its final beat.

There will not be a formal visitation or funeral. Anyone who visited, called, face-timed, texted, zoomed, wrote notes, etc, are all included in his visitor record.
