(From the City of Lamar)The Lamar City Lake, roughly a 250-acre body of water, serves as a fishing spot for many area residents and guests. Over the last month, staff have worked to replace a dock that is used for loading and unloading tackle and people into and out of boats.
The old dock composed of wooden supports and treated lumber has been replaced with concrete supports and composite Weathered Wood decking donated by Envision Outdoor Living. The dock is 8 feet wide by 32 feet long.
Envision Outdoor Living Products makes the decking locally in Lamar and has for more than 20 years. The decking is made with a compression molding rather than extrusion, making it a unique product with a 25-year warranty. https://envisionoutdoorliving.com/.../composit.../evergrain/
