Granby man killed, Granby woman suffers serious injuries in collision on 60

One person was killed and another person injured in a two-vehicle accident 7:12 a.m. on U. S. 60 at Route HH one mile east of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Dodge 1500 driven by Everett J. Harrison, 77, Granby, pulled into the path of a 2018 Peterbilt driven by Tyler C. Dabbs, 33, Columbus, Kansas.

Newton County Deputy Coroner Jerry Deems pronounced Harrison dead at the scene.








A passenger in the Harrison vehicle, Lisa M. Hanna, 44, Granby, was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

The fatality was the 102nd this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
