CMS could improve the quality of telehealth utilization data, the Bipartisan Policy Center claims, to better inform permanent telehealth policy. The group recommends CMS develop additional billing guidance for practitioners, assign a medical specialty to advanced practice nurses and physician assistants, and prohibit incident to billing by any provider who can bill Medicare directly.
