Results in WEEKS, not years.

Our proven Swim-Float-Swim method will equip your child with the Survival Swimming skills required to safely enjoy the water.

The primary focus of any of our Infant Aquatics of Lubbock programs is to teach your child to become a productive swimmer or floater, ensuring their safety in and around any body of water.

As a result, your child will become a skilled survival floater or swim-float-swimmer in just weeks, NOT YEARS. These skills will greatly increase your child’s chance of surviving an aquatic accident, even when they are fully clothed!

Infant Aquatics of Lubbock is unique in the West Texas area in that we conduct our lessons in a climate-controlled indoor facility year-round. This means that regardless of the time of year (or temperature) your child has the opportunity to learn these life-saving skills and continue to maintain those skills well after they complete their Survival Swim program.

At Infant Aquatics of Lubbock, we recognize that each child is uniquely different, and we will tailor lessons to your child’s individual needs. We use a gentle and encouraging approach to help your child not only learn Survival Skills quicker, but also help them learn to LOVE the water.

Aquababies Program

This program is designed to teach your child how to survive in the event that they unexpectedly find themselves in water. These lessons usually take four to six weeks to complete, depending on the development of your child. The Aquababies program is designed specifically for children who can sit up unassisted, but are not yet walking. You can typically expect for your child to “graduate” after 4 to 6 weeks of individual instruction. In this program your child will learn to roll into a survival float from many different angles and positions, regardless of how they find the water and what they may be wearing at the time they find the water.

Aquababies Advanced Program

This program is designed specifically for children who have previously completed the Aquababies program first, and who are now competently walking. We will add to your child’s existing knowledge of rolling back into their survival float by now teaching them how to swim, roll back, float to breathe, and then flip over to continue swimming to their destination. You can typically expect for your child to “graduate” after 4 to 6 weeks of individual instruction. In this program your child will still maintain all of their survival skills, but we will teach them how to maneuver safely throughout the water and around the pool.

Little Flippers Program

This program is designed specifically for children who are at least 12 months of age and are competently walking on their own. Children will learn to swim a short distance with their faces fully submerged and their eyes open, to roll onto their backs to float and rest whenever they need to breathe, and then flip back onto their tummies to continue swimming to safety. After accomplishing these skills in a bathing suit, children will then practice their skills in summer clothing and then progress onto winter clothing. This additional work is critical to survival swimming because most children who find themselves in the water alone are fully clothed.

The Infant Aquatics program was founded by a Master ISR Instructor who realized the short-comings of that specific program, and branched out to create her own curriculum that answers the deficits not addressed by other programs.

The Infant Aquatics network has more than 140 Certified Instructors across the United States and other Countries, and continues to grow each year.

Combining over 50 years of experience and educational background with the physics of swimming, Infant Aquatics has developed and conducted the safest and most comprehensive Survival Swimming lessons possible.

Each Infant Aquatics Certified Instructor has over 100 hours of in-water training and education in early child development and behavior.
