Formerly known as "Summer Institute", New Counselor Institute (NCI) was created by the Professional Development Committee (PDC) of the Indiana Association of College Admissions Counselors (INACAC) to welcome new High School & College admissions counselors to the INACAC family. The goal of this hybrid virtual/in-person program is to equip new counselors with a trove of tools and tips from professionals in the field, as well as creating a wide-spread professional network from across the state as they begin serving students and providing more equitable access to higher education. NCI is meant to be helpful to new counselors no matter when they may be hired into the field; each month's discussion will focus on the upcoming "season" that new counselors are likely to first encounter in their roles.
