On May 28, 2021, President Joe Biden signed Executive Order 14031 to establish both the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI) and the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. The Initiative and Commission are housed within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where they were first created under the Clinton Administration. Learn more: hhs.gov/whiaanhpi
