Wyre

This small district named for it's river boasts a huge range of different environments to explore.

Join a session

Wyre is a beautiful Borough with distinct and diverse character, heritage and wildlife extending from the Fylde Coast to the Forest of Bowland.

At Wyre Estuary Country Park you'll find a plethora of birds year round enjoying the combination of mudflats and saltmarsh that keep the local and migrating populations well fed, as well as some beautiful colours come spring and summer when the sea lavender blooms.

Over at Rossall Point there's plenty to do on the beach, searching for eggcases or looking out to sea to spot dolphins and porpoises, as well as hunting for gorgeous common blue butterflies in the dunes.
