PM Modi to inaugurate 35 PSA oxygen plants tomorrow

Over 7,000 personnel have been trained for taking care of the operation and maintenance of these plants.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 35 Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Oxygen Plants established under PM CARES in an event to be held tomorrow at AIIMS Rishikesh. These are amongst the oxygen plants being set up across 35 states and Union Territories in an attempt to cover all districts of the country with commissioned PSA Oxygen Plants.

According to the statistics provided by the Government of India, a total of 1224 PSA Oxygen Plants have been funded under PM CARES all across the country. More than 1100 plants have been commissioned, which can provide an output of over 1750 MT oxygen per day.

The project to commission a PSA oxygen plant in each district of the country will be accomplished with the inauguration of these plants.

Over 7,000 personnel have been trained for taking care of the operations and maintenance of these plants. An embedded IoT device attached to these plants for real time monitoring will help in analyzing their functioning and performance through a consolidated web portal.

The launch event will also witness the presence of state Governor and Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, along with Union Health Minister.
