Working with the Similarity Report & AI Indicator 

In this session, we will review how to use the Turnitin Similarity Report and the AI indicator, as well as how assignment settings and assignment types can influence the results.  This will include:

Teaching Academic Integrity Across the Disciplines

Having a student centered approach to original writing is important across all subject areas, and is a vehicle to help develop student learning in both academic and career integrity. Woven throughout this session we will be demonstrating formative usage of the Turnitin Similarity Report and AI indicator, and sharing current trends in academic honor codes, course and even assignment policies. Our goal is to make sure Turnitin can support and aid you in your goals of encouraging student success and helping better prepare students for their future careers.

Using the Similarity Report & AI Indicator for STEM Courses

During this session we'll review how to use and interpret the Turnitin Similarity Report and the AI Indicator for best formative use for your students. We will cover settings and assignment types which can influence Similarity Report and AI indicator results when students are turning in labs, case notes or papers or other templated assignments.

Writing, Integrity & Cultural Competence 

During this session we'll discuss how to present academic integrity and good writing skills to students from an array of backgrounds.  As part of this session, we'll review interpreting both Similarity Reports and the AI Indicator, as well as assignment types and settings which can influence the results.
