Born to Hand Jive: A “Grease” Sing-Along with Thunder Road, presented by The Choral Society of Pensacola

Are you hopelessly devoted to the Rydell High Class of ‘59? Do you yearn to be a Pink Lady or a T-Bird? Were you born to hand jive?

If the answer to any of those questions is “yeah, man!,” then slide into your black leather (or pink satin) jacket and head as fast as greased lightnin’ to the Rex Theatre (18 N. Palafox St.) in Downtown Pensacola beginning at 7:00 p.m. CT., for Born to Hand Jive: A “Grease” Sing-Along hosted by the Choral Society of Pensacola, a Foo Foo Fest grant recipient.

Show up in your coolest fifties duds and check out the show of classic cars on Thunder Road (Palafox St b/t Chase and Garden streets), organized in partnership with the Panhandle Cruisers Car Club. Then, with the help of emcee Michael Dennis, brush up your hand jive, learn how to use the items in your free fun bag, and compete in our costume contest.

When the movie rolls, sing along! The lyrics will be on the screen, so you can harmonize with John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, and the rest of the gang. Grease is the word…
