Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) is excited to announce the 2022 Jazz for Justice event is back, in partnership with Foo Foo Festival on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022.
This year’s event will take place at Museum Plaza in downtown Pensacola and festivities will begin in the afternoon and end before sunset. The lineup for 2022 promises to energize downtown, with longer sets and fantastic musicians from nationally recognized artists and our local favorites!
We start the evening with 9th Avenue Brass Band, a local NOLA-infused band. Then we bring out a crowd favorite, Tuba Skinny, bringing traditional street performances and ragtime flair. Finally, the evening ends with The Soul Rebels, an international sensation playing with some of the most well-known artists and bringing jazz into the modern era!
This year’s event promises even more than amazing music. Enjoy demonstrations for kids (or kids at heart) from our friends at Pensacola MESS Hall who will be partnering with Jazz for Justice throughout the afternoon. Our friends at Pensacola Gallery Night will also be coming back this year for you to peruse local art during the afternoon.
As always, this event is FREE and open to the public, with optional ticket upgrades to a VIP experience! This experience includes exclusive access to the neighboring Voices of Pensacola building, along with food and beverages. Go to www.JazzForJustice.org for more information.

9th Avenue Brass is a New Orleans second-line style brass band based in Pensacola, Fla.
Tuba Skinny (New Orleans)
Formed in 2009, Tuba Skinny has steadily evolved from a loose collection of street musicians into a solid ensemble dedicated to bringing the traditional New Orleans sound to audiences around the world. Drawing on a wide range of musical influences—from spirituals to Depression-era blues, from ragtime to traditional jazz—their sound evokes the rich musical heritage of their New Orleans home. The band has gained a loyal following through their distinctive sound, their commitment to reviving long-lost songs, and their barnstorming live performances.
The Soul Rebels
The Soul Rebels started with an idea – to expand upon the pop music they loved on the radio and the New Orleans brass tradition they grew up on. They took that tradition and blended funk and soul with elements of hip hop, jazz, and rock all within a brass band context. The band has built a career around an eclectic live show that harnesses the power of horns and drums in a deep pocket funk party-like atmosphere.
