To complete the Fulbright Canada-Mitacs Globalink Research Internship online application form, please prepare the following:
- A personal statement (one (1) single-spaced page maximum) pdf
- A concise curriculum vitae/résumé (two (2) pages maximum) pdf
- Current unofficial university transcript(s) pdf
- A French-language language proficiency report completed by an evaluator. pdf*
* Only applicable if you plan to do an internship in French
Additionally, you will need to provide two (2) letters of reference. At least one reference should be from a professor familiar with the student’s work.
Referees will receive an email request for their references when you submit your application and will have until September 25th, 2023 to submit their references.
Personal Statement Guidelines
- Please provide a narrative statement explaining why you want to do an internship in Canada as a Fulbright Canada-Mitacs Globalink Research Intern.
- Limit your Personal Statement to one (1) single-spaced page maximum, and in a 12-point font with 1-inch margins.
- Your Personal Statement should not be a mere listing of facts, nor should it repeat the content of your curriculum vitae/résumé. Please discuss what you hope to accomplish during your stay in Canada and how the experience fits with your current interests and future goals.
- Given that the Fulbright Canada-Mitacs Globalink Research Internship seeks to further mutual understanding between Canada and the United States, please highlight any experiences that demonstrate your ability to adapt to other cultural settings, a willingness to share with or learn from others of different national identities, and your ability to serve as an ambassador for the United States.
