2022 Randy Rawson Scholarship Application

The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) Scholarship Fund to Promote Technical Careers in the Boiler Industry

QUALIFICATIONS: To be eligible, an applicant must be accepted to or attending an accredited post-secondary college/university, or similar accredited community college, vocational, trade or technical school. An applicant must have a focus in engineering or other technical programs such as welding or CAD design. Non-technical and graduate students are not eligible. For questions about eligibility, please contact ABMA before submitting application.

In addition, an applicant must have a desire to pursue a career in the boiler industry and be a relative of an employee or sponsored by an ABMA member company.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION: (Incomplete applications will not be accepted and applications that do not comply with all instructions will be negatively impacted during the review process.)

- A complete school-issued high school or college transcript (whichever is applicable)
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from among the following: one should be from an educational institution representative (e.g. high school principal, professor, advisor etc.) and one from an executive at a sponsoring company or individual familiar with the student's community or public service. Parents can be sponsors but not eligible for recommendations.
- A copy of an acceptance letter from a nationally or regionally accredited post-secondary college, university, or similarly accredited community college, vocational, trade or technical school. (High School and Transfer Students Only)
- A copy of your SAT or ACT scores. (High School Students Only)
