March 1 - March 15:
Review of Nominations: The election committee reviews the nominations to ensure all eligibility requirements are met.
Confirmation of Nominations: Contact nominees to confirm their willingness to run for the position. If any nominees decline, the association should communicate this and potentially seek additional nominations.
Preparation for Elections: Finalize the list of candidates and prepare all necessary materials for the election, such as electronic ballots, candidate profiles, and voting guidelines.
Announcement of Candidates: Introduce the eligible candidates to the members, providing necessary details about their qualifications, vision, or other relevant information.
March 18 - March 31
Starting the campaign shortly after candidate confirmation gives candidates time to prepare their campaign materials and strategies. This also ensures that members have enough time to familiarize themselves with the candidates and their platforms.
April 1-25:
Voting Period: Open the ballots for members to cast their votes. Ensure the voting process is secure and that members are well-informed about the procedures.
April 26-29:
Vote Tallying: Tally the votes in a transparent manner post voting.
April 30:
Announcement of Election Results: Announce the results to all members, congratulate the elected candidates, and thank all nominees.
